Alex’s journey into architecture began with a deep-rooted love for design and problem-solving. Growing up in a small town, she was always fascinated by how buildings shape communities and enhance everyday life. This curiosity led her to pursue a degree in architecture, and she’s been honing her skills ever since.
A Day in the Life
As a Junior Architectural Associate, Alex plays a key role in bringing projects from concept to reality. Whether she’s drafting plans, collaborating with senior architects, or fine-tuning details for client presentations, she approaches every task with enthusiasm and precision. She loves the challenge of creating functional yet beautiful spaces that meet the unique needs of each client.
What Inspires Her?
For Alex, inspiration comes from the rich history and evolving landscapes of rural communities. She’s particularly passionate about historical adaptive reuse projects, breathing new life into old structures while preserving their original charm. “There’s something incredibly rewarding about taking a building with a story and giving it a new purpose,” she says.
Life Beyond Architecture
When she’s not working on design projects, Alex enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and exploring new coffee shops. She’s also an advocate for sustainable design practices and loves learning about innovative ways to make buildings more energy-efficient.
